DOH-Sarasota is an active member of the Southwest Florida Healthcare Coalition which encourages health facilities to share their resources during and after a disaster.  The Suncoast Disaster Healthcare Coalition along with the Sarasota Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) promotes a common community mission approach to dealing with a disaster.
